Digital Signage for Internal Communications: Lamoda’s Experience

  • About the Company
Lamoda is one of the largest online retailers in the fashion segment in Russia, but behind the storefront of the online shop stands a large company with offices, warehouses, and thousands of employees. Internal processes here are no less complex than external ones: different teams, different tasks, different formats of work. Therefore, communications play an important role: it is necessary to quickly and clearly deliver information to all teams.
  • Project Objectives
By the time Lamoda approached us, they already had a system for screens, but it did not fully satisfy them. The system was fragmented and inconvenient to use, so different departments could not fully work with content.

The initiative to replace the solution came from several teams at once. IT wanted stability and proper integration with corporate systems. HR needed a clear channel for communication with employees. Marketing required a flexible and convenient tool for working with content.

The task sounded simple: to объединить all screens into one system and ensure that the necessary information appears on them without unnecessary actions.
  • Project implementation stages
We unified the entire network of screens into a single SMARTPLAYER platform. The screens display images, video clips, audio files, and pages of corporate websites.

The displays are located in offices and warehouses. At the moment, 82 devices are involved in the project, including Android devices and Raspberry Pi set-top boxes.
An important step was integration with Lamoda’s internal services. We configured SSO via corporate email so that access to content remains secure while not requiring constant data entry.

To work with internal resources, we connected the SMARTPLAYER authorization widget. It automatically logs devices into corporate websites, so portal pages and other services are displayed on screens without manual intervention.

A separate server with a hybrid architecture was deployed for the project. This approach made it possible to take into account the client’s requirements for security and stability.
  • Results
As a result, Lamoda received a unified screen management system used by several departments at once. All devices are combined into a single platform, and content management is carried out through an intuitive interface.

Integration with corporate systems made it possible to automate information updates. Data from the internal portal is displayed on screens automatically, so employees always see up-to-date information. The screens have ceased to be just a background and have become a full-fledged internal communications tool. The project is easily scalable, which allows the company to increase the number of displays without complicating management.
