Komus Office: How a Screen Network Became Part of Employees’ Daily Environment

  • About the Company
Komus is a large Russian company operating in the office supplies, business solutions, and everyday goods sector. The company has an extensive infrastructure, including office spaces with a large number of employees and a variety of functional areas: entrance zones, meeting rooms, lounge areas, kitchens, and sports spaces.
  • Project Objectives
A key feature of the office environment was the large number of screens of different types — from standalone displays to complex video walls and multi-screen compositions with varying sizes and orientations. All these devices are used for internal communications and spatial design.

The project had several objectives: to unify all these screens into a single system and enable centralized management. It was important to implement a clear and user-friendly tool for different teams within the company — including technical staff, HR, and marketing.
  • Project implementation stages
All devices were connected to the SmartPlayer platform. They are now managed remotely from a single control center. This eliminated the need for manual updates and external storage devices.

Next, a content management structure was established, taking into account the roles of different departments. HR and marketing teams create content, while the technical team is responsible for publishing it without being involved in the creative process. The platform supports this workflow without adding unnecessary complexity.

The client’s office uses both standard displays and complex configurations — for example, entrance areas with screens of different sizes and orientations. Each device operates according to its own scenario depending on the zone.

In entrance areas, screens display visually focused content, including seasonal activities and holiday greetings. In lounge areas and coffee points, displays are used for internal announcements and updates. In sports and kitchen areas, informational and motivational content is broadcast.

Content from the HR department is also displayed: company news, event calendars, employee поздравления (congratulations), event reports, as well as informational and training videos.
  • Results
The Komus screen infrastructure has become a fully managed system, where all devices operate within a single logical framework. This has simplified control over content relevance and reduced reliance on manual operations.

Internal communications have become more consistent across the company. Information is now distributed synchronously across different office zones, without discrepancies between screens or delays in updates.

Screen surfaces are no longer just carriers of information — they have become part of the office environment. They support the daily rhythm of employees, reinforce events, and help shape the visual identity of the space.
